Human Resources

The Human Resources Department provides a wide range of services in our small district. HR oversees the listing of employment opportunities and coordinates the application process for new hires, coordinates with administration and labor leaders to update job descriptions, and certifies that all processes are California Labor Code compliant.

Most of all, Human Resources exists to provide support for current staff in the form of benefit and salary information, substitute teacher procurement, and personnel file tracking. HR works closely with the Business Office to ensure smoothly functioning district operations.

Notice Regarding Employment History Disclosure (AB 2534 Compliance)

In accordance with California Education Code Section 44939.5, as amended by AB 2534, all applicants for certificated positions must provide a complete and accurate record of all employment with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), school districts, or other educational institutions.

As part of the hiring process, Lagunitas School District will verify employment history. This may include obtaining information from previous employers regarding credible allegations, investigations, or disciplinary actions related to egregious misconduct, as defined by Education Code Section 44932.
