FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT:
School Closure Update: Schools across Marin including Bolinas-Stinson and Lagunitas will remain closed today, Thursday October 30. An early morning conference call with PG&E and Marin OES let us know that most of Marin still does not have power. Additional shutdowns may occur today in places where power has been restored: The Kincaid Fire in Sonoma County may threaten power lines that would force additional shutdowns throughout Marin. We are hopeful that we will be able to re-open school on Thursday and will post updates throughout the day today. Again, thanks for your patience and please stay safe.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT:
School will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday October 29 and Wednesday October 30.
At 4:20 PM today we were notified by PG&E that another public safety power shutdown (PSPS) will take effect early Tuesday morning. All Marin Schools will be closed for safety reasons.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT:
If power is restored to the school tomorrow, October 29, school will be re-open. We are waiting for further information from OES and PG&E in a conference call scheduled for 4:00PM today. Please watch this space for further updates.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT: Lagunitas Schools will be closed on Monday, October 28 due to Public Safety Power Shutdowns. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT:
The Office of Emergency Services has notified us that Lagunitas School and the surrounding region is likely to experience a Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) due to the risk of wild fires that could be caused by high winds. Our most recent information indicates that a high number of customers all over Marin and the Bay Area will have their power shut off beginning some time Saturday October 26 and lasting for an indefinite period of time- probably through Monday October 27 and possibly longer.
It is very likely that school will be closed for safety reasons on Monday and perhaps into next week. If power is off Monday morning, school will be closed. We will send out notifications via the website, app, text message and e-mail by 5:30AM on Monday morning with a final decision about the school closure and will update the website regularly as we learn more.
Please prepare for this event by ensuring that you have sufficient food and water for an extended period of time, keeping a battery-operated radio available and charging your mobile phone in advance. KCBS 740 AM Radio will also provide updates if cell service is impacted.
We know that events like this are a major inconvenience for our families and employees and we regret having to make this decision. Thank you so much for your patience.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT: School is open today. Updates on power outages, air quality and fire conditions indicate that school can open as usual. Please watch this space for updates.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL: The Montessori 4th/5th grade overnight field trip to Slide Ranch has been evacuated to Samuel P. Taylor State Park until further notice due to a fire near Muir Beach.
We will keep you informed of next steps. It's possible they will be able to continue as planned later today. It's also possible the trip will be canceled and students will all return later today.

FROM LAGUNITAS SCHOOL DISTRICT: PG&E has informed the Marin Office of Emergency Services that there are no additional planned power shutdowns within the next 24 hours. We anticipate that Lagunitas Schools will remain open and will provided updates as needed.

Power is on and school will be open today.

The Lagunitas School District is monitoring updates from the Marin County Office of Emergency Services through the evening. As of 9:00 PM, we plan to keep school open on Wednesday, October 9th. We will keep you informed if conditions change. If a power outage occurs before school starts in the morning, the school will be closed. T

Fire has stopped advancing and is 60% contained. 10-12 acres. No traffic problems in the area. School related activities and meetings are not affected.

There is a wild fire active on the north side of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard near Spirit Rock. School is safe. Recommend staying away from the area until further notice.

Remember what campus looked like 3 years ago?

100% Engagement in group problem solving! Love what we're seeing in Montessori Program.
